Kodex Update 0.2.0 – August 18, 2026
We’re excited to roll out one of our biggest updates yet. This release expands the library in a major way, introduces Kodex Plus, and delivers a cleaner, more complete Game Details experience.
New Features
Kodex Plus Kodex Plus is now available with a full checkout experience. New signups receive one month free so you can try the upgraded features risk-free. Included with Kodex Plus:
Family Accounts - Support for multiple profiles under a single main account. Share Kodex with family members while keeping everyone’s libraries, saves, and settings completely separate.
Custom Game Details Page & Manual Game Addition - Manually add games to your local games list and fully customize the Game Details page for ROMs or any locally added titles. Update information, artwork, and details exactly the way you want so your collection looks perfect.
MODs Tab - New MODs tab on the Game Details page that shows available mods for supported games, making it easier to discover and install community mods directly through Kodex.
Exclusive Kollections - Access to exclusive Kollections only available to Plus members.
Upgraded AI Chat - Enhanced AI chat that can answer questions about game tactics, strategy, secrets, map codes, and more.
Massive Library Expansion via IGDB We’ve ingested data from IGDB, adding over 200,000 games to Kodex. The library is now significantly broader and richer.
Redesigned Game Details Page The Game Details page has been rebuilt to pull from multiple data sources (including the new IGDB data). You’ll see more complete information, better coverage, and a more consistent experience across titles.
