How to Add Additional Profiles in Kodex

Edited

Additional profiles are available with Kodex Plus. You must have an active Kodex Plus membership to create additional profiles.

Profiles allow different people in your household to have their own Kodex experience, including separate profile types, display names, profile images, PIN protection, and AI settings.

How do I add a new profile?

  1. Open the menu in the upper-right corner of Kodex.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. Select Profiles under Account Settings.

  4. Select Add Profile.

  5. Enter a display name for the new profile.

  6. Add a profile image.

  7. Choose the appropriate profile type:

    • Kodex Adult

    • Kodex Teen

    • Kodex Kid

  8. Choose whether the profile should require a PIN.

  9. If you enable a PIN, enter and confirm the PIN you want to use.

  10. Choose whether AI Enabled should be on or off. AI is enabled by default.

  11. Select Save Profile.

Your new profile will now appear under Settings > Profiles.

How do I edit an existing profile?

Go to Settings > Profiles and select View Profile next to the profile you want to change.

From there, you can update the profile's display name, profile image, profile type, PIN, and AI settings.

How do I switch between profiles?

If your Kodex account has multiple profiles, Choose Profile will appear in the main menu. Select it whenever you want to switch to another profile.

When you launch Kodex and sign in to an account with multiple profiles, you will also be prompted to choose which profile you want to use.

Should I add a PIN to my adult profile?

We recommend adding a PIN to your Kodex Adult profile when creating profiles for children or teens.

A PIN helps prevent a child from switching to the adult profile and accessing content or settings that are not available through their own profile.
