Kodex Update 0.2.7 – October 19, 2026
A polish and usability update focused on easier navigation, smoother profile management, and a more consistent look across Kodex. We've also simplified adding videos to local games and fixed a few frustrating window and button behaviors.
New Features & Improvements
Easier Back Navigation: Added consistent Back buttons across the Mac experience, including Game Details, Bookmarks, Search Results, Discover, Mod Details, Subscription Management, and Account Settings.
Simpler Local Video Uploads: Videos added to local games now get a thumbnail automatically, so there's no need to select a separate image. Video tiles also display a play icon, and the Upload Media option stays clear of existing items.
Roomier Profile Selection: Updated the Choose Profile screen with a more spacious, centered layout, making profiles easier to find and select.
Clearer Home Screen: Improved the readability of the home screen's search and question boxes.
New Loading Splash Screen: Added a new splash screen that appears after signing in while Kodex gets ready.
Bug Fixes & Improvements
Minimized Windows: Fixed an issue where reopening Friends, GeForce NOW, and other minimized windows left them hidden in the taskbar. Selecting them from the main app now brings the existing window back into view.
Logout Window Behavior: Fixed an issue that could minimize the app after signing out instead of showing the login screen.
Profile Editing & Saving: Fixed the Save button becoming unresponsive after editing a profile image, and corrected its text disappearing when hovered over.
Profile PIN Navigation: Fixed the Back button on the profile PIN screen so it displays correctly and takes you back as expected.
Kai Category Images: Fixed missing category images in the desktop app.
More Consistent Skin Colors: Fixed selected playlists and installation popups not matching the active skin, and addressed popups briefly showing default colors before switching to your chosen theme.
Game Details & Visual Polish: Added missing Game Details backgrounds for Axel, Fiona, and Zane, restored the divider beneath the Kai header, and tidied up Luna's Discover More button. The app version now sits in the bottom-right corner of the login screen.
Additional Button Fixes: Addressed more unresponsive buttons and controls throughout the desktop app for more reliable everyday interactions.
General Improvements: Applied behind-the-scenes updates to strengthen account security, improve data reliability, and make future updates more dependable.
